Cockeyed Cake
Bake 175°C 30 minutes
| 375 ml | flour, sifted |
| 45 ml | cocoa |
| 5 ml | baking soda |
| 250 ml | sugar |
| 2.5 ml | salt |
| 75 ml | oil |
| 15 ml | vinegar |
| 5 ml | vanilla |
| 250 ml | water, COLD |
Put all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add liquid ingredients to center, beat until smooth. Pour batter into a 22x22cm pan (22x33cm pan if double recipe).
This recipe is tried, tested, and true, from my Mom's recipe stash. It has been made countless times, with several mistakes, including baking for double the length. It comes out perfect 99.9% of the time. However, I can't guarantee it will work at all.
